NEW MATERIAL:A substance DC1043 expressed by the formula. USE:Useful as an antitumor agent having antitumor action. PREPARATION:A microorganism, belonging to the genus Pleurotus and having the ability to produce a substance DC1043 is cultivated in a culture medium to produce and accumulate the substance DC1043, which is then collected and obtained. Either one of a natural or synthetic culture medium moderately containing a carbon source, nitrogen source and inorganic substance may be used. A liquid culture method, particularly submerged spinner culture method is most suited as the cultivation method. The cultivation temperature is 20-35 deg.C, preferably 22-30 deg.C and the pH of the culture medium is adjusted to 4-8, preferably 5-7 by using aqueous ammonia, etc. |
