1H-Tetrazole cpds. of formula (I), in which A is carbonyl or 2-4C methylene, P is a pyridine ring, X1 and X2 are halogen, 1-4C alkyl or other, and Y is O, S or other, are made by reacting a cpd. of formula (II) with hydrazoic acid in DMF in presence of BCl3 etherate at 10-200 deg.C for 5-24 hours, to obtain (I) or its acceptable salts.
