PURPOSE:To improve releasability of the surface of a photosensitive drum from a toner, nitride-oxide, and their mixture, and to prevent damage of the drum by forming a polyethylene layer on the surface of the cleaning roller in contact with the drum. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the cleaning roller, is coated with the polyfluoroethylene layer, and, preferably, this layer is laminated on a silicone rubber layer formed on the surface of the cleaning sponge roller. The toner is mixed with the nitride-oxide produced on the surface of the cleaning roller by corona discharge to form a mixture, thus permitting the mixture transferred to the cleaning roller to be easily peeled from it with a magnet roller or the like, the poly-fluoroethylene layer to prevent a plasticizer from evaporating out of the inside of the roller, and accordingly, a transferred image to be made always clear without attaching foreign matter to the surface of the roller.
