PURPOSE:To make a weather strip solidly moldable without entailing any damage to window glass, by forming a cavity around a window glass end edge of a metal pattern fixing the window glass, and setting up a rubber buffering body adjacent to a cavity inner peripheral edge. CONSTITUTION:In case of such one which molds a weather strip 9 solidly to a periphery edge of window glass 4 with a metal pattern 1 consisting of a male mold 2 and a female mold 3, a cavity 5 is formed around an end edge of the window glass 4 to be fixed between these upper and lower molds 2 and 3 of the metal pattern 1. And, a rubber buffering body 6 is set up as adjoined to an inner peripheral edge of the cavity 5 of the female mold 3, and this buffering body 6 is made elastically contact with a cab inner side face 7 of the window glass 4. With this constitution, when the window glass 4 is forcedly pressed between these upper and lower molds 2 and 3, such a possibility that excessive stress concentration is produced on a composition plane between the window glass 4 and the metal pattern 1 is prevented, so that any damage to the window glass 4 is obviated.
