PURPOSE:To aim at decreasing the width of an elevatable cargo bed, by providing an elevatable member having a push-pull member adapted to be engaged with one end of a container during introduction and delivery of the container, on a transverse motion frame, and by providing a lateral travel conveyer on the elevatable cargo bed which is mounted on the transverse motion frame. CONSTITUTION:Two transverse motion frames 6, 7 which are movable in both right and left directions as viewed in the drawing, are arranged on an elevatable cargo bed 3 provided on a traveling lift for loading cargoes onto a rack, with a small longitudinal gap therebetween, and therefore, they are driven by transverse motion drive devices 4, 5, respectively. Further, elevatable members 10, 11 which may be elevated along elevation guides 50, 51 are provided on the transverse motion frames 6, 7, respectively, and are driven by elevation drive devices, respectively. Push-pull members 15, 16 having engaging projections 14 which may be engaged with an engaging members 13 of box-like containers 12 are secured to the right upper end part of the elevatable member 10 and the left upper end part of the elevatable member 11, respectively. Further, a lateral travel conveyer including a roller conveyer 62 is arranged on the upper section of the elevatable bed 3.
