Torsioned machine part difference angle or torque measurer

The machine part consists of two parallel mutually interacting torsion spring elements of different spring constants. A different torque acts on each element. The difference of the two input rotation angles, and hence of the two torques, is measured at a comparision position by a sensor. A first torque (M1) acts on an input shaft (20). An output shaft (21) delivers the first torque and a second torque (M2) applied to it by an electric motor via a drive or gear wheel (22). The input shaft is a vehicle steering shaft. The output shaft leads to the steering mechanism.
