PURPOSE:To raise the resolution without executing a scan of a detector, by dividing the detector into odd pieces of groups, and also, providing an interval of 1/2 of a detector pitch in the group, between each group. CONSTITUTION:A detector for detecting gamma rays is divided into odd pieces (for instance, 7 pieces) of each group (1 group consists of 6 pieces), and also, an interval of 1/2 of a detector pitch (d) in the group is provided between each group. Also, the respective detectors in each group are placed by shifting them by a different distance at every detector in the ring center direction. According to such a constitution, a sufficient resolving power can be obtained without moving the detector.
