PURPOSE:To obtain a high aperture efficiency by using an electromagnetic horn for a reflective primary radiator and covering the aperture of horn by a dielectric having a concave lens function so as to improve the uniformity of illuminance distribution of the reflection mirror antenna aperture. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic wave incident on a reflected part 2 via an input waveguide 1 is led to a throat of a born 3 by an apex 5. The horn 3 acts like a coaxial horn using the outside of the waveguide 1 as the center conductor. The electromagnetic wave incident on the reflector part 2 is reflected in the arrow, converted into the coaxial mode, propagated in the horn 3 and made incident on a dielectric concaved lens 4 mounted to the aperture of the horn 3. The thickness of the lens 4 is increased as a taper toward the wall face of the horn 3 and the lens 4 acts like drawing the electromagnetic energy passing through the lens 4 toward the peripheral of the aperture of the horn 3. Thus, the aperture efficiency of the reflector mirror antenna is improved.
