发明名称 FOUR-CYCLE RECIPROCATING TYPE SUPERCHARGED ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance engine brake effect by arranging in addition to suction and exhaust valves a 3rd valve to be opened during normal driving at a time near the end of the exhaust stroke to supply pressurized air and by opening the 3rd valve at the end of the compression stroke during decelerated driving. CONSTITUTION:In addition to suction and exhaust valves, a 3rd valve is arranged in each cylinder to be opened at a time near the end of the exhaust stroke during normal driving condition to supply pressurized air into a combustion chamber so that scavenging is performed by turning a rotation switch valve 1 and supplying valve drive oil pressure. During deceleration of an engine on the other hand, the rotation switch valve 1 is switched to direct the same oil pressure to a cylinder which corresponds to the end of a compression stroke period. This causes an absorption type engine brake effect against the engine.
