An anchorage, which is adjustable in a simple manner without tools and can withstand high loads, of the upper ends of the shoulder carrying straps on a rucksack wall in the upper region thereof is achieved in that a profiled holding rail is attached to the rucksack wall with profile flanges projecting laterally parallel to the rucksack wall, on which profiled holding rail a slide is guided, which serves for the connection of the shoulder carrying straps, bears counter-catch means which can be engaged in catch means of the profiled holding strip, and is movable counter to the force of a prestressing spring, which is active between the slide and the profiled holding rail, transversely to the profiled holding rail in such a way that the catch means and counter-catch means are disengaged in order to carry out an adjustment of the anchorage point of the front ends of the shoulder carrying straps in the vertical direction along the profiled holding rail.
