PURPOSE:To enable pinch rollers to be held in a removed state from a feed roller, by a method wherein a slide body is moved by a manual operation portion or a drive portion to shift the contact position of a groove with a projecting portion. CONSTITUTION:On frames 1 disposed opposed to each other, a platen 2, a feed roller 3, and a journal 5 having gears 4 fixed at the ends thereof are rotatably held, and also a paper pan 13, which serves as a hold member of pinch rollers 11, 12, is rotatably set by a journal 14. The counterclockwise rotation of the gears 4 due to the movement of an operation lever 27 or the driving force of a motor 6 moves a rack 22 so that a projecting portion 24 engages with a lower end portion of a groove 25, thus the paper pan 13 rotates downward and pushes a roller holder 10 downward to separate the pinch rollers 11, 12 from the platen 2 and the feed roller 3. In this condition, the groove 25 is disposed at approximately right angles to the rotational direction of the paper pan 13, therefore the paper pan 13 is kept in a stopped state if being forced upward by a spring 19. |
