PURPOSE:To measure and test strength characteristic of a multi-layer-structure shotcrete, by making a sample having a section which allows a pressure force to work on a plurality of construction joints parallel and evenly to measure the strength characteristic. CONSTITUTION:A sample used is so arranged that construction joints 15 are formed between layers 10-13 of a shotcrete while making it a cube in the shape as a whole. The testing method is as follows: For example, when the number of layers of a sample shotcrete is four, 26 strain gages A are applied at 26 points as shown by numbers 1-26 at necessary points of the respective layers and between adjacent layers. In addition, the sample is pressurized from the direction parallel with the construction joints 15 to measure and test the compression strength thereof and distortions of the layers and between adjacent layers. This enables accurate measurement and evaluation of the strength characteristic of the multi-layer structured shotcrete.
