PURPOSE:To raise the dimension accuracy of an erasion width, comparing with that of a conventional one, and to improve the erasion efficiency, by forming a metallic magnetic material film extending over two surfaces, and joining a film part of one of them to a recording and reproducing core. CONSTITUTION:A block 12 is formed by a non-magnetic fixed film having two surfaces which cross an erasion magnetic pole formed surface 10 at an obtuse angle, and a metallic magnetic material film for an erasion magnetic pole is formed extending over both these surfaces 10, 12. Also, a recording/reproducing core 20 which is prepared separately is inserted and held through a spacer 26, and an erasing back core 24 which is prepared separately is connected by a magnetic material film part which has been formed on the surface of one of said surfaces. A straddle erasing magnetic field is given as a magnetomotive force from a coil which has been wound to the erasing back core 24, the erasing back core 24 and an erasion magnetic pole 18 are connected by a magnetic material film part which has been formed on a slant face part, and said magnetic field is used as an erasing magnetic field of the side face part of a recording track from a leakage magnetic field between the erasion magnetic field 18 and the recording/reproducing core 20. In this way, the dimension accuracy of an erasion width is raised, comparing with that of a conventional one, and the erasion efficiency can be improved.
