<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the repairing and restoring time of a circuit and to enhance monitoring accuracy, in the case of the trouble of the shore end cable from the landing stations at both terminals of a system locating the trouble point of a submarine cable to a first relay, by rapidly performing the location of a trouble position from the nearby landing station. CONSTITUTION:A shore end cable 3 is connected to both of landing stations A, B at both terminals of a system for monitoring the trouble of a submarine cable 2 and relays 2 having relays R1-Rn, R2-Rn-1 of a low group and a high group are connected to the end cable 3 on the way thereof by the submarine cable 2. A monitor circuit 12 is connected to the end cable 3 of the system through directional filter 4 in line terminal equipment. The monitor signal leaked from a relay terminal 11 is attenuated by the end cable 3 and branched by the branch circuit 5 of the circuit 12 through the filter 4. The branched monitor signal is received by a narrow-band selection level meter 8 and continuously recorded on a recorder 9 and displayed on an alarm circuit 10 when the receiving level exceeds a predetermined range.</p> |
