The invention relates to a gearing for double-lead worm machines with the same direction of rotation of the worms and torque division, consisting of one power output gear wheel per power output shaft and a plurality of intermediate wheels which are in engagement with the power output gear wheels, are each arranged in one plane with the power output gear wheels, rotate about fixedly arranged axes and are driven in each plane by means of an internally geared wheel. It is proposed to provide only one internally geared wheel which is in engagement with all the intermediate wheels. In this arrangement, two intermediate wheels are intended to be in engagement with the two power output gear wheels and each power output gear wheel is intended to intermesh with three intermediate wheels arranged distributed around the circumference. By virtue of this design, it is to be possible for high torques to be transmitted and for the power output shafts to be kept very short thanks to the compact design of the gear system.
