发明名称 REMOVER FOR INTERMEDIATE COATING OF OPTICAL FIBER
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To remove the intermediate coating of an optical fiber only by pressing both ends of the removed part of the optical fiber core against a semicircular heat blade which is heated and fusing and moving them by utilizing differences in fusion temperature and flexural rigidity between coating materials of the optical fiber core. CONSTITUTION:The heat blade 8 is heated up to and held at the fusion temperature of the secondary coating 1-2 (nylon) through a temperature controller 11. Then, the coating removal start end 12 of the optical cable core which is tensed enough to remove slack is inserted into the gap between the slanting surface part 9-2 of a coating separation plate 9 and the heat blade 8. Then, the secondary coating 1-2 is cut locally by the coating separation plate 9 and the optical cable core 1 is pressed against the heat blade 8. Then, the secondary coating part of the pressed optical fiber core is applied with bending stress and the secondary coating 1-2 on the side which contacts the heat blade 8 is fused. The secondary coating at the cut part starts peeling with a primary coating because of the difference (about 60 times) in bending rigidity between the primary coating and secondary coating. Then the tension is held and the whole optical fiber cable is moved as shown by an arrow while pressed against the heat blade 8.</p>
