PURPOSE:To facilitate the loading of a film and to rewind a film by providing a cartridge rotary driving mechanism which rotates a film cartridge in a cartridge chamber in such a direction that the film is loosened. CONSTITUTION:The film cartridge is rotated by the cartridge rotary driving mechanism PM in the loosening direction of the film F wherever the leader of the film which is led out of the film cartridge P is about the cartridge shaft Px in the cartridge chamber 6, and the leader of the film is guided on the guide surface 6A of the cartridge chamber through the rotation and inserted into a film sending-out slit to a manually operated film winding mechanism, automatic film winding device, etc. Consequently, the film cartridge is only stored in the cartridge chamber, so the film is easily loaded and the film cartridge is inhibited fro rotating, so that the film is rewound without any hindrance.
