<p>PURPOSE:To economize a packet exchange by numbering an output route in each packet exchange passing through the transmission header of a packet in passage order, permitting each packet exchange to select the output route from the top number of the output route given to a reception packet and removing the top number of the output route so as to transmit. CONSTITUTION:In terms of each packet exchange 1 where the packet P passes, the output route numbers (ri) and (rj) specifying the output route transmitting the packet P are sequentially given to the transmission header TH of the packet P coming to the packet exchange 1 in the passage order. A route selection means 100 selects the specified output route from the top route number (ri) given to the coming packet. A route number removing means 200 removes the top route number (ri) given to the packet, and transmits it to the output route selected by the route selection means 100. Accordingly the packet exchange 1 need not to use a large capacity memory, etc., thereby economizing the packet exchange.</p> |
