PURPOSE:To prevent cold airflow from hitting a human body and improve the rise-up of room temperature by a method wherein the ventilating air of an air-conditioning machine is blown off horizontally into left-and-right directions to mix the air when ventilating air temperature is lower than a set value while the same air is blown off downwardly while concentrating it into central part when the ventilating air temperature is higher than the set value. CONSTITUTION:The blow-off port of an indoor unit is provided with a vane 1 for deflecting blow-off air into up-and-down direction and vanes 5a, 5b for deflecting and distributing the blow-off air into left-and-right directions. In case a ventilating air temperature and an elapsed time have not arrived at predetermined values (t1), T1, air from a blow-off port is distributed into left-and-right directions upwardly or horizontally and in case the ventilating air tempera ture has arrived at the predetermined value (t1), the ventilating air is blown off downwardly and is concentrated to a central part. In case the ventilating air temperature has not arrived at the predetermined temperature (t1) after the predetermined value T1 of the time of elapse has elapsed, the ventilating air is blown downwardly and distributed into right-and-left direc tion while the ventilating air is blown off downwardly and is concentrated into the central part after the predetermined temperature (t1) has been achieved.
