PURPOSE:To increase the number of stepping easily without multipolar magnetization by each magnetizing both surfaces in the axial direction of a discoid magnet body at different magnetic poles while radially forming a large number of projecting surfaces at regular intervals on both surfaces of the magnet body. CONSTITUTION:The surface and back of a discoid magnet body 7 are magnetized by single poles at an N pole and an S pole while grooves 10 are each cut only by required number in the radial direction of the surface and the back and irregularities are disposed alternately in row in the circumferential direction. A rotor block is operated at steps to a stator block consisting of coils 3a, 3a', 3b, 3b' by the strength of magnetic flux by irregularities.
