Cadmium metal is obtd. from a soln. of Cd salt by redn. with a more positive metal or a metal salt than Cd itself. The grain distribution is (%w/w): 5 of above 0.45 mm, 25 of 0.15-0.45 mm. The Cd salt powder is added to the reductant metal suspension comprising 0.01-50g/l PVA paste or dextrine and 1-10 -4 mol/l acid. (--pp Dwg.No.0/0)
