PURPOSE:To transfer bits of various kinds of state information to a maintenance side effectively and economically by collecting the bit of state information to be transferred in an exchange system, editing and accumulating it corresponding to an information class, and transferring it to a remote place corresponding to the information class. CONSTITUTION:The bits of various kinds of state information in an exchange system 1-1 are collected by an information collection device 1-2, and the classes of them are decided with a class decision device 1-3, and are stored temporarily at an information accumulation device 1-4. The bit of state information which is requested to be processed urgently is transmitted instantly at every generation from an information transmission device 1-5 to a maintenance center 3 through a transmission circuit 2, and that of state information which is processed in a routine period periodically, and that of state information which is requested to be supervised when a request from a remote place (maintenance side) occurs. At the maintenance center 3, a system is constituted so that the bits of state information are processed at information processors 3-2-3-4 corresponding to the classes, and a processing result is recorded and displayed at a recording and display device 3-5.
