PURPOSE:To improve thermal stability as well as magnetic properties of an undermentioned alloy foil in the high-frequency region, by subjecting an amorphous magnetic alloy foil whose crystallization temp. is higher than the Curie point to holding at the intermediate temp. between the above temps. and then to rapid cooling in water. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous magnetic alloy foil in which crystallization temp. (Tx)-Curie point (Tc)>=50 deg.C is satisfied is held at a temp. (TA) defined by Tc+10 deg.C<=TA<=Tx and cooled rapidly in water, so that the value of magnetic permeability of said foil at 10kHz is regulated to the value between 1000 and the higher value between 5000 and one-half the magnetic permeability obtained by heat treatment by means of ordinary method of rapid cooling in water consisting of holding at a temp. (Tq) of Tc+10 deg.C-Tx-40 deg.C for 5-20min and rapid cooling in water. In this way, the magnetic permeability mue in a high-frequency region of >=300kHz can be increased, the loss tandelta can be reduced, and thermal stability can also be improved.
