PURPOSE:To prevent structure blockage in a porous carbon electrode plate by impregnating a substance which is removed in a specified temperature range in a porous carbon electrode plate, joining it with a carbon separator plate with an adhesive to be carbonized, and baking at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:A porous carbon electrode plate is impregnated with a liquid substance which is removed at 50-600 deg.C such as polystyrene and methyl methacrylate. Impregnation is made by immersion or spray until the surface layer of the electrode plate surface structure is completely filled. The electrode plate is joined with a carbon separator plate through an adhesive to be carbonized such as a precondensate of phenol resin and furan resin. After curing the adhesive, the joining members are baked in an inactive gas atmosphere at 800 deg.C or more. |
