PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit construction, by providing a control circuit for reversing the direction of current flowing through a coil by controlling a current control element connected in series between the coil and an A.C. power supply. CONSTITUTION:An A.C. power supply 20 is connected through a Triac 21 as a current control element to a coil 10 of a solenoid valve. A gate terminal G of the Triac 21 is connected to a control circuit 22. The control circuit 22 is connected to both terminals of the A.C. power supply 20 to obtain a power and simultaneously detect a power phase. Accordingly, it is possible to feed forward and reverse currents to the coil 10 of the solenoid, thus simplifying the circuit construction.
