PURPOSE:To attain the automatic correction of a position and the accurate indexing of the present address, by displaying the present address corresponding to movement quantity based on actual measurement on a map no only to aid movement toward a destination but also to correct the present address by a point. CONSTITUTION:The titled apparatus is constituted of CRT 40 being a display part, a light pen 41, a keyboard 42, an optical disk 46 capable of storing several thousands of maps information and a memory 45 storing variable information, etc. At first, the start position and destination of a vehicle are inputted from the keyboard 42. An optimum map containing the position of the destination is read from the optical disk 46 on the basis of said input data and set to a video memory to be displayed on CRT 40. A map on the minimum scale among maps containing both points is calculated on reference to a reference table and read from the disk 46 to be displayed and outputted. At this time, a route is set on the displayed map by the light pen 41. B this method, positional information an be corrected by the point on the route. |
