2 diodes, e.g. 1 N 4148, are connected in opposition between the metal coatings of an insulating plate coated on both sides and provided on the underside with feet. In this way, the coatings always discharge in the opposite sense; recharging and thus the throughflow of earth rays is therefore impossible. This ensures effective protection against earth rays. In accordance with the capacitor principle, the metal coating on the top side contains the antipolar earth radiation. The series connection of the diodes referred hereto produces an enrichment of the counter radiation, as a result of which the protective plate can be used for cell recharging. The gradation of the intensity of radiation is performed by means of regulating resistors. If the plate coatings remain free of electronics, it is likewise possible by means of the arrangement of four small, possibly integrated square corner plates to generate a field that is free from earth rays or, depending on the size ratio of the corner plates relative to the base plate, to generate antipolar earth radiation (reaction radiation for cell recharging). In this case the sides of the plates need to be aligned with all four points of the compass.
