PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect brake torque accurately by laying a transducer such as a load cell and others for detecting the brake torque between a hydraulic cylinder oscillated in the peripheral direction of a rotor at braking and a fixed supporting body. CONSTITUTION:This disc brake rotatably supports a hydraulic cylinder device 3, which has a couple of feet 3a, 3b straddling the edge of a rotor 1, by a rotary supporting shaft 8 to a fixed supporting body 2 at a forked extension 3c for support provided in one 3b of its feet. The fixed supporting body 2 has a stopper part 2b on both sides, in the rotor periphery direction, of the insertion hole 2a of a rotary supporting shaft 8. And a load cell 10 abutting against each opposing face 3f of the hydraulic cylinder device 3 is screwed to this each stopper part 2b by a supporting bolt 9 and the device is so made that a rotating moment M acting on the fixed supporting body 2 at braking and corresponding to the brake torque may be obtained from a force F acting on the load cell 10.
