PURPOSE:To manufacture a powdered raw material for Fe-type sintered material having low iron loss and high magnetic permeability by mixing, with Fe powder, Si and Mo, or further, P and Sn independently or in combination and by incorporating by concentration Mo, Sn, etc., to the surface of partial Fe powder. CONSTITUTION:Specific amounts of MoO3 are mixed with the atomized powder of Fe, and the resulting mixture is heated in a reducing atmosphere in the state where MoO3 is allowed to adhere to the Fe powder surface so as to diffuse reduced Mo into the surface of Fe powder to undergo concentration. Then, an Fe-Si or metallic Si powder is mixed with the above Fe powder, or further, P and Sn are mixed independently or in combination. Sn is added in the form of metallic Sn or of Sn compound which decomposes on heating to Sn, which is diffused similarly to Mo into the surface of the partial Fe powder and concentrated. In this way, the powdered raw material for sintering containing 1-12% Si and 0.05-7% Mo or further containing 0.05-2% P and 0.05-7% Sn independently or in combination is prepared. This powder is sintered, so that ferrous magnetic sintered material having low iron loss and high magnetic permeability can be manufactured. |
