PURPOSE:A dental ceramic material improving strength of sintered material, probability of empty holes, remaining physical properties of sintered material, diversity of molding method, abrading effects, wearing properties, etc., obtained by blending a ceramic material with a spherical inorganic substance. CONSTITUTION:A conventional dental ceramic material is blended with a spherical inorganic substance consisting of primary particles which contain preferably alumina and silica, have <=200mum average particle diameter and 1-1.3 average of sphericity coefficient instead of part or the whole of ground particles contained as a solid phase in the dental ceramic material, to give a dental ceramic material having improved various defects of the conventional dental ceramic material. The spherical Al2O$3 particles have merits such as (i) a sintered material required is easily developed because of easy control of particle size distribution, (ii) small probability of empty holes remaining, (iii) the sintered material having fewer structural defects and higher strength is obtained, (iv) various moldings can be carried out and (v) abrading effect is high and wear is small, etc., by comparison with ground Al2O3 particles. |
