In the case of a three-phase alternator, preferably for being driven by internal-combustion engines having a rotationally driven fan shaft and having an impeller which is supported thereon via a ball-bearing such that it can rotate freely, it is proposed to arrange a spring-prestressed friction element between a rotationally driven part of the rotor shaft and the impeller, such that the rotational driving takes place up to a predetermined rotation speed and slip then occurs in order to reduce the noise.
