Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which A denotes a pyridyl radical and B denotes a dialkylamino radical, a sulphonylamino radical or a triazolyl radical, and their quaternisation and protonation products are outstandingly suitable for the whitening or dyeing of synthetic fibres. They are distinguished by a high economicalness.
