In the climbing formwork there is a bracket for attachment to the completed concrete wall, and a form element above this, movable to and fro by a variable-length activating unit between an upright operative position and a cleaning position. In the lower part of the bracket (2), at the point of support (6), there is a swivelling carrier arm (7) which bears the form element (8). The arm or element is directly supported by the variable-length unit (9), and the form element is held in its roughly vertical setting by guide-rods (11', 12), at least one being pref. length-adjustable.
