PURPOSE:To obtain a device which positions a developing device only by inserting the developing device by forming recessed or projected engaging parts at the upper edge of a side plate, and forming projected or recessed engaged parts on both flanks of the developing device. CONSTITUTION:Columnar parts 20-23 to be engaged are provided to lower parts of both flanks 7a and 7b of the developing device 7. The bottom plate 15 of the device is provided with a side plate 16, which has hole-shaped engaging parts 24 and 26 and recessed groove engaging parts 25 and 27 in the opposite direction of a paper feed direction. The developing device 7 is held in hand to insert the parts 20 and 22 to be engaged into the engaging parts 25 and 27, and then the developing device 7 is slanted forward, so the parts 20 and 22 are fitted in the engaging parts 24 and 26. The parts to be engaged and engaging parts engage each other closely and the parts to be engaged collide against engaging part bottoms by the weight of the developing device 7, which is then positioned accurately to a photosensitive belt. |
