摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the manipulating stability of a vehicle having a strut type suspension unit, by enabling the upper end of the suspension unit to move in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the suspension unit in accordance with the running condition of the vehicle so that the camber angle of the vehicle is made to be variable. CONSTITUTION:A controller 9 receives detection signals from a G censor 10 for detecting a transverse aceleration accompanied by the turning of a vehicle, and form a sensor 11 for detecting the angle of a steering wheel, and therefore, determines the turning direction and the magnitude of acceleration so that it opens and closes valves 7, 8 t feed hydraulic pressure selectively into cylinder chambers 32a,32b in actuators 5, 6. Accordingly, the upper end of the suspension unit on the outer wheel side is moved inward to control such that the camber angle is made to be large. Further, the inner wheel side suspension unit is moved outward to increase the camber angle. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the manipulating stability of the vehicle.
