The present invention relates to a boat, in particular for yachting, which comprises a hull 1 surmounted by a deck 7, 8, 12, 13, 14 and supporting the means of propulsion of the boat. According to the invention, said means of propulsion comprise a compressor unit 15, 16 coupled to rotary-drive means, the suction 17, 18 of this compressor unit opening at the front of the hull at 19, above the flotation line of the latter, while its delivery 20, 21 is connected to the inlet of a floating nozzle 22 mounted at the rear of the shell 1 and comprising, opposite the latter, an ejection opening 25 formed level with the wall in contact with the water of the floating nozzle, this ejection opening preferably having the form of a thin slot of great length. <IMAGE>
