The invention relates to a device for rolling up paper webs, in particular paper webs which have been inscribed by means of a printing mechanism, which device consists of a rolling chamber whose internal guide wall extends spirally in the peripheral direction and forms an introduction slit for tangential introduction of the paper web. Simple removal of part lengths of the paper web at any time is made possible thereby in such a way that a first part (10) of the guide wall is formed by a bottom part (2) and the remaining part (9) of the guide wall is formed by a cover (3) pivotably mounted on the bottom part (2), and that the surface of the guide wall (10) of the bottom part (2) extends in a radial step with an outward offset in the region of the pivoting axis (7). <IMAGE>
