GUIDE RAIL COMPRISING ATTACHMENT MEANS FOR A PLUG BOARD

The invention concerns a guide rail for printed circuit boards in industrial electronic equipment, which guide rail has, at one of its ends, an attachment means 1 for a spring contact strip 5 provided with electrical connections. This attachment means 1 consists of a retaining limb 2, which is applied at right angles at the end of the guide rail and carries a holding lug 4, and of an angled resilient tongue 3 extending towards this holding lug 4. The holding lug 4 and the angled resilient tongue 3 are so arranged that the force developed at the limb 2 on engagement of the spring contact strip with an associated board is absorbed solely by the structure of the limb, without utilizing the resilient tongue 3 for this purpose. The angled resilient tongue 3 only serves the purpose of holding the contact strip against displacement in the direction of withdrawal of the board from the electronic equipment, which is substantially smaller than that developed on inserting a plurality of printed circuit boards in one step. The advance in the art is in more reliable hold combined with a simplified structure.
