PURPOSE:To obtain a cavity-free casting having good quality by providing a riser cylinder on the end face on the cavity side formed of a stationary die and a moving die and disposing a heating mechanism in the dies. CONSTITUTION:A stationary die 19 is fixed via a heat insulating material 18 to a stationary die plate 13. A moving die 22 is likewise fixed to a moving die plate 17. The die 22 is closed via the plate 17 by a die clamping cylinder 15. A molten metal 25 flows through the hole 30 of a nozzle 27 into the nozzle 27. When a plunger 29 is lowered by a cylinder 28, the molten metal 25 passes through the nozzle 27 and is filled under a low pressure at a low speed into a cavity 23. Since a heating mechanism 24 is provided in the dies 19, 22, the filling is accomplished smoothly. A cavity-free casting having good quality is obtd. without intrusion of air, etc. into the molten metal and the life of the dies is extended by the above-mentioned mechanism. |
