PURPOSE:To provide a non-contact, quickly responsive, and highly sensitive combustion monitoring device for a radiant heater of gas combustion type at low cost, by providing an infrared sensor at the opening of a casing, by comparing the voltage of a sensor with a set voltage, and by alarming the extinguished state or the nearly extinguishing state of flames when the detected voltage is lower than the set voltage. CONSTITUTION:An infrared sensor 5 of thermo-pile type, which generates voltage by sensing infrared rays, is fitted to the base of the cylindrical part 3 of a casing 1 by the intermediary of a holder part 6. The infrared rays incident upon the opening of a cylindrical part is efficiently detected by the infrared ray sensor 5, converted into voltage, which is amplified by an amplifier 11 provided in the casing 1. The amplified voltage by the amplifier 11 is compared with a preset voltage 'V Ref'. by a comparator 12. If the amplified voltage is lower the the preset voltage 'V Ref.', a relay 14 is actuated by the intermediary of a current amplifier 13. A lamp flickers, a buzzer sounds, and an alarm bell rings by the actuated relay 14. |
