PURPOSE:To stabilize a magnetic levitation system for a long time by supplying power necessary for a controller from a battery through a constant-voltage generator. CONSTITUTION:When a conveyor is started, a controller 25 generates magnetic fluxes of the same direction as or reverse direction to that generated from a permanent magnet 37 in electromagnets 35, 36, and controls currents which flows to exciting coils 33, 34 to maintain an air gap P of the prescribed length between a magnetic supplying unit 23 and guide rails 1. A gap length is set to a value that the weight of a unit to be supported such as a conveying vehicle 2 is just balanced with a magnetic attraction between magnetic supporting unit 23 and guide rails 1 by the magnetomotive force of the magnet 37. Power is supplied from a power source 26 composed of the secondary battery through a constant-voltage generator 27 to the control means 25. Thus, the controller can normally operate over a long time. |
