<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layer optical disc for achieving both the high-quality optical property, etc. and reduced surface deflection, with respect to the optical disc for performing recording and reproducing by a blue pickup laser of a short wavelength. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-layer optical disc is a single-sided recording and reproducing type multi-layer optical disc which performs recording and reproducing with a blue pickup laser.
