PURPOSE:To attenuate the torsional vibration by providing an engaging member, which pushes by pressure a plate against another plate as a direct-coupled clutch piston moves toward a front cover, to the clutch piston. CONSTITUTION:A snap ring 15 is used as an engaging member, which presses by pressure a spring location 12, or the second plate, so that a piston 7 can be engaged with the spring location 12 in the direction to which the piston 7 moves. Accordingly, the torsional vibration, which is introduced via both a front cover 1 and the piston 7, is attenuated by not only the spring force of a coil spring 11 but a frictional force generated in between the spring location 12 and a drive plate 9. With this contrivance, the torsional-vibration-attenuating- characteristics at the time of direct coupling can be enhanced.
