A triple-radius steering gear system (1 plus 2) in which are located a hydrostatic partial gear (1) and a mechanical partial gear (2). A zero-shaft (21) actuates, via a summation gear (3) and output shafts (34), the track-laying wheels of a track-type vehicle in order to achieve a curved trajectory. For this system, in the first radius range (RI) only the hydrostatic partial gear (1) is operative, in the second radius range (RII), the hydrostatic (1) and mechanical (2) partial gears are operative, and in a third fixed radius (RF) only the mechanical partial gears (2) are operative, so that the rotation speed of the zero shaft (21) ensures, in a first and second radius range (RI and RII), a progressive steering action, and, in the third radius range a steering action with a fixed small radius (RF). The mechanical partial gear (2) is a planetary gear system with three simple wheel sets (23, 24 and 25), which preferably possess the same sun-wheels and same internally geared wheels.
