发明名称 LIGHT EMITTING ELECTRON TUBE
摘要 PURPOSE:To intend to improve the luminous efficiency of a light emitting electron tube by applying the optimum voltage to excite the light emitting gas between the 1st cathode and 2nd cathode along with applying a sufficient voltage to ionize the light emitting gas between the 1st cathode and the anode. CONSTITUTION:Electrons attracted toward the anode 3 from the 1st cathode 2a by DC source 5, after passing through the anode 3, collide with atoms sealed in the tube and ionize them. After an ionization, because there is no accelerating field for both the electron and the ion further ionization is stopped. Therefore the current-voltage characteristics become positive, and when the space is neutralized by ionizations, electrons emitted from the 2nd cathode 2b are accelerated toward the 1st cathode 2a by the DC source 7. Because this voltage is so high only to be able to excite the sealed gas and is not so high to induce an ionization, electrons emitted from the 2nd cathode 2b collide with the material sealed in the tube on the way, and drift toward the 1st cathode 2a while exciting the said material. Thus the luminous efficiency can be improved.
