Roller blind e.g. for winter garden sun shade

The roller blind consists of a sheet of a flexible material which can be rolled on a shaft by pliable traction elements passing round a pulley and equipped with a tensioner. The tension is provided by spring-loading the roller taking up the blind so that the blind rolls onto it automatically as the tension is reduced and this roller is mounted on a carriage running in a guide rail. The drive for the blind is provided by a traction element attached to the carriage, which passes round a pulley and back to the roller carrying the blind, so that as a handle is turned the blind is unwound and stretched out flat. The amount of tension between the two rollers can be adjusted by a screw coupling linking the pulley to its mounting bracket.
