PURPOSE:To obtain extremely favorable images having a high and uniform color density and free of color missing or void in each dot, by providing a highly elastic intermediate layer between a printing film and a dyeable resin layer. CONSTITUTION:The elastic intermediate layer is provided between the printing film 1 and the dyeable resin layer 3. As the rubber elastic intermediate layer, a material rich in elasticity and capable of bringing the layer 3 and an ink layer 4 into close contact with each other easily and uniformly under the pressure of a thermal head 6 is used. Particularly, the layer 2 consists of a substance having a Young's modulus of 10<5>-10<9>dyn/cm<2>. If the Young's modulus is less than 10<5>dyn/cm<2>, the intermediate layer 2 itself is unrecoverably distorted under the heat and pressure applied by the thermal head 6 at the time of printing, whereby the surface of the OHP film 1 is rugged, leading to a marked reduction in gloss. On the other hand, if the Young's modulus is more than 10<9>dyn/cm<2>, sufficient close contact can not be obtained between the resin layer 3 and the ink layer 4 under the pressure of the head 6, so that color density becomes low and nonuniform. |
