PURPOSE:A polynucleotide, capable of coding a signal peptide of a yeast, consisting of a specific amino acid sequence and capable of secreting efficiently useful substances produced in the interior of microbial cells to the exterior of the microbial cells. CONSTITUTION:A polynucleotide (DNA) capable of coding a peptide consisting of an amino acid sequence expressed by the formula. The above-mentioned DNA can be isolated from, e.g. alpha-factor gene of a chromosome DNA of a yeast. The DNA can be inserted between a promotor sequence and an exogenote capable of coding a desired protein on a vector and expressed in a host to efficiently secrete the desired protein. |
