A method for measuring the electrolytic conductivity of fluids in a measuring cell, containing the fluid to be investigated, with two electrodes immersed in the fluid and arranged at a predetermined distance from one another. A direct-current pulse of predetermined direction, having a predetermined length in time and a predetermined constant current intensity is sent through the measuring cell. During the duration of the direct-current pulse, the voltage prevailing across the cell is continuously measured at predetermined time intervals. From the measured voltage values, the first and the second derivation of the function of the measured voltage variation is in each case calculated in dependence on time. Then the voltage value is determined at which the first and/or the second derivation has the value 0 or has changed the sign compared with the previous value. This selected voltage value is allocated to the measured current value and used for determining the conductance.
