The process for the production of a preform (PR) for optical waveguides (optical fibres) proceeds from a blank (RG) in which the substances to be deposited (DS) are applied to the outer surface by means of a burner (BR). The burner (BR) is supplied with ionised gases (GS11, GS21, GS31), and a voltage (Ua) whose polarity is opposite to that of the ionised gases (GS11, GS21, GS31) is applied to the conductive core (CR) of the blank (RG). <IMAGE> |
